Your scrap yard software holds driver's license scans, seller photos and signatures, payment records, and the compliance history that law enforcement and regulators depend on. For years, all of it has been protected by a single password. And breach reports say the same thing every year: most break-ins start with a stolen or reused password, not sophisticated hacking.
We think your yard deserves a second lock. That is why every ScrapRight organization can now turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).*
What 2FA Does
Signing in takes something you know (your password) plus something you have (your phone). After entering their password, each user confirms their identity with a 6-digit code from an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. A stolen password by itself is now useless: without the phone, nobody gets in.
Easy to Roll Out
- One checkbox turns it on. An administrator enables 2FA for the whole organization from Organization Configuration.
- Users set themselves up. At their next login, each user scans a QR code with their authenticator app, enters the code, and they are done.
- Backup codes cover lost phones. One-time recovery codes mean a replaced phone never locks anyone out.
- Trusted devices skip the prompt. Users can trust a secure, personal workstation for 30 days instead of typing codes all day.
Admins Stay in Control
Every user's profile has a Two-Factor Auth tab. Reset 2FA re-enrolls a user who got a new phone, and Revoke Trusted Devices forces a fresh code on every machine at their next login. No support ticket required.
Security Is a NextGen Priority
With integrated payments, the ScrapRight API, and more of your operation connected than ever, ScrapRight NextGen holds every new capability to the same standard: it ships with the security to match. 2FA is the latest step in that commitment, and it won't be the last.
